IOWA FALLS DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT We are all educators empowering every student to become a life-long learner capable of successful living.

PURPLE CORD AWARD IFAHS encourages students to be involved in volunteering and community service projects. The high school recognizes seniors at graduation that earn 100 hours of volunteering over their four years of high school. Students that are interested should contact Mrs. VanDyke or Ms Cutler for details.

9TH GRADE DENTAL FORMS Dental forms for 9th graders need to be turned in by March 31, 2010.

8TH GRADE ACADEMIC FAIR All eighth grade students and their parents are invited to the Academic Fair starting at 6:30pm at the high school on Thursday March 18.

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENT SENIORS: Baby Candids for the yearbook are due this Friday. They are $20 each. For more information, please contact Mrs. Truex.

YEARBOOK ORDERS Don't forget to order a yearbook. The price goes up to $40 on March 12th.

PARENT ADVISORY MEETING The next Parent Advisory meeting will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 16 in the JB Auditorium.

EUROPE TRIP SIGN UP The last day to sign up for the Europe trip is approaching. The last day is Friday, March 26. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Ms. Teske or Mrs. Koop as soon as possible!

TRACK & FIELD SPORTSWEAR There will be a second order for Track Sportswear. The web store will close April 2nd. You can pick up flyers from Coach Harms, the office or open sportswear on our website: www.ifamenstrack.com

IFA DRILL TEAM TRYOUTS The IFA Varsity & JV Drill Teams will be holding their tryout on Thursday, April 1st from 6-9 p.m. in the auditorium at the high school. A student interested in trying out for either team is required to attend one practice. The practice schedule is as follows: * Monday, March 29th at the high school Ð 6:30 -9:00 p.m. * Tuesday, March 30th at the high school Ð 6:30-9:00 p.m. . BOYS STATE ANNOUNCEMENT Any junior boy who would like to be considered to attend Boys State this summer must write an essay on why you would like to attend and why you feel you would be a good candidate to represent Iowa Falls at Boys State. Essays are due this Friday March 12th. See the Guidance Office for more information.

SOCCER MEETING There will be a meeting for parents and players of Boys and Girls Soccer in the IFAHS Gym on Friday March 12 at 6:00 pm. It is important that all players and parents attend.

GIRLS BB ANNOUNCEMENT Girls Basketball players please turn in your practice shorts and reversible as soon as possible. If these are not returned you will be charged the replacement cost.

IE SPEECH MEETING IE Speech Team, there is a mandatory, very short meeting today at 3:10 in Mrs. Brown's room to get information for state contest.
