Fun Facts About This Special Event
Current record is 122 ft. 8 inches in diameter done in Norwood, South Africa on December 8, 1990. There ingredients were 9,920 lbs of flour, 198 lbs of salt, 3968 lbs of cheese and 1984 lbs of tomato puree.
We will attempt to break the record at 126 ft. 8 inches in diameter, our ingredients will be 9,500 sections of par-baked crusts that are 12” by 16” rectangle, 4,000 lbs of cheese, 700 lbs of pizza sauce.
Supplies that we will use are ..
1. A grain bin oven floor weighing 80,000 lbs
2. 2-3 grain bin burners also the same 2-3 blowers
3. LP gas for the burners and 220/200 amps. For the blowers
4. 800 cement blocks
5. 65 2 by4 8 ft long
6. Tarp - 140 ft by 140 ft to cover the pizza will take heat up to 300 degrees
7. 80 toggle bolts
8. Numerous other items for preparing the pizza
Location Iowa Falls/Alden High School South Parking Lot Saturday June 18th 2005
We will need 32 teams 6 people on each team to assemble the pizza.
Each team will be responsible for assembling around 297 sections of Pizza. We will give a prize for the fastest builders , and the best dressed.
This event will be a free will donations.
We are currently looking for company sponsor for us to offset the cost of this event.
